The program

New and Next Level.

The YD3 program was developed with a team of experts, college coaches, administrators, and D3 alumni to deliver an innovative and efficacious approach to college recruiting. Our expert partners in financial aid, academic advising, mental wellness and performance, cognitive agency, nutrition optimization, and injury prevention provide insight and advice through program content to support student-athletes and their families.

Most kids don't lose recruiting opportunities because they're not good enough — they lose them because nobody taught them the process in time. We fix that, starting in 8th grade, with a real curriculum and years of one-on-one mentorship, not just a course or a pep talk.

Begin your recruiting journey as a prospect or recruit based on your class year or stage in the process. Once enrolled, we’ll personalize your program based on your responses to a questionnaire that indicates your recruitment readiness. You’ll then be paired with a mentor who aligns with your sport and any academic and career interests you have.

Then it’s time to begin a different kind of recruiting experience. One that will help you identify and pursue your goals, test your limits, and reach your potential. As part of the program, you’ll utilize a suite of proprietary tools, including The Play Learn Thrive Playbook, Academic Athletic Comparative Evaluation (AACE) Scale, and ProSTAT, a specially crafted and verified student-athlete profile.

The PLT Program

The Play, Learn, and Thrive (PLT) Program, is a mentor-guided, interactive roadmap designed to help student-athletes navigate the college recruiting process. Featuring inspiring stories and insights from Division III student-athletes and coaches, the PLT Program brings together key areas of development, including athletics, academics and personal well-being, to prepare student-athletes for the next chapter of their lives.

AACE Scale

The Academic Athletic Comparative Evaluation (AACE) Scale sorts schools based on the competitiveness of their admissions and recruiting tiers. Created for YD3 by a leading sports data scientist, the model combines academic standards with team performance, factoring in conference strength and schedule difficulty, into one easy-to-understand score.

ProSTAT

Your ProSTAT (Profile of the Student-Athlete) presents college coaches with the most accurate representation of you as a student-athlete. It showcases your commitment to academics and your sport while highlighting your achievements, interests, and involvements, providing coaches a complete profile of you.
