Cultivating Champions and Character.
Elevating efficiency for D3 recruiting.
From standout talent to transformative teammates, YD3 helps college coaches identify recruits outside of traditional pipelines. High school coaches refer student-athletes to YD3 who embody the traits D3 programs target to elevate both team performance and program culture.
"The model of Division III basketball is what I fell in love with as a kid. Talented student-athletes playing the game with passion and working hard to win conference and NCAA championships. They want to do it for their school, they want to do it for each other, and there’s a lot of joy in watching that."
Forming the Foundation for the Future.
Coaches are key partners in encouraging student-athletes to develop, set goals, and continue their athletic careers.
High School Coaches
Not every player participates on a team outside of high school. YD3 helps high school coaches refer or support strong academic and high-potential players so they, too, can vie for roster spots on college teams. YD3 ensures high school coaches are equipped with the know-how and resources, including upcoming regional showcases, to guide their players and families through college recruiting and decision-making.
Club Coaches
Club teams are organized to develop player skill and IQ and to participate in travel tournaments attended by college coaches. Club coaches are former college athletes who possess deep experience and knowledge that benefits the roster of players who try-out and commit to the travel team schedule. YD3 supports club teams interested in educating players and parents about Division III and the nuances associated with vying for a roster spot with a program at a competitive academic school.
College coaches spend countless hours scouting and recruiting to build rosters and strengthen their programs. Navigating NCAA rules adds complexity to the process: D3 schools can’t offer athletic scholarships to attract top talent who fit both athletic and academic criteria.
1. A measured method
Our new Student-Athlete profile, PROSTAT, captures and verifies stats while evaluating the qualities coaches value most: character, coachability, college readiness, team attitude, and overall compatibility.
2. D3 recruiting ropes
We make sure student-athletes understand the ropes, meaning they are mindful of protocols, timelines, deadlines, expectations, and their family is well-versed in the latest financial aid information and avenues.
3. Communications training
We ensure student-athletes send proper, periodic performance updates reflecting their academic and athletic developments and achievements.
With so many attributes of your program to celebrate and promote, we make it easy to heighten visibility to a broader audience of high-performing student-athletes.
Together with coaches, college players, and high school prospects, we designed a template to profile your program like never before. Profiles are cataloged on YD3’s platform and displayed when a student-athlete explores college programs by conference or utilizes our AACE Scale.
In Division III athletics, recruiting smart, driven student-athletes is just the beginning.
NIL offers an opportunity to connect your roster with meaningful opportunities that reward character, visibility, and impact. When approached thoughtfully, it can enhance programs, strengthen communities, and build lasting relationships for student-athletes, creating formative experiences and inspiring stories while maintaining competitiveness.
At YD3, we’re continuing to study the evolving NIL landscape to understand how it can best serve your program. We help coaches identify opportunities that support roster cohesion, preserve program integrity, and empower athletes to grow together, keeping teams focused on development and success on and off the court.
