When I chose Division III, I thought I was choosing a place to play basketball; I didn’t realize I was choosing the people and experiences that would shape the rest of my life. From the moment I stepped onto Denison’s campus, I gained a family of teammates who challenged me, supported me, and pushed me to become the best version of myself. Division III taught me that while your sport can be a huge part of who you are, it doesn’t have to define all of you. It gave me lifelong relationships, unforgettable experiences, and the opportunity to grow into a person far beyond the athlete I once was.
