I knew I wanted to continue playing my sport competitively, but I wanted to prioritize academics and make sure I was able to capitalize on all opportunities that my university had to offer. Division III athletics gave me the flexibility to do it all. I made my best friends playing soccer at a very competitive level; I could join clubs and a sorority to meet new people, and still balance my rigorous coursework. I was also able to study abroad on top of all of that, which was something I knew I always wanted to do. The balance of school, sports, and social life provided me with an amazing experience that I will remember forever.
